With capitalism in crisis and the existential threat of catastrophic climate change, "Alt Orgs – Sustaining the Human" is part of PLANET CHANGE, an ongoing cross-platform media project and documentary in development about creating a sustainable future. Could innovative pioneers and alternative organisations such as co-ops and employee owned companies hold the key to a more sustainable planet? Are they flawed models that only work in some circumstances? Or do we need a whole new eco-system of innovation to faces the challenges that lie ahead?

Can we imagine compelling futures and initiative interventions to save our planet and create a paradigm shift for a more sustainable tomorrow? With scientists saying we already have 90% of the technologies to tackle climate change and a breakdown in post war democratic consensus, the need to understand how change happens takes on a new urgency. We need to engage with the challenge of building consensus and learning from best practice.
